Karen Collins is the Chief Talent Officer and Head of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Teams at BMO Financial Group. One of the top 10 banks by assets in North America, BMO serves 13 million customers across its personal and commercial banking, wealth management and investment banking businesses through a team of more than 55,000 employees. In her role, Ms. Collins has enterprise accountability for BMO’s Talent Management Strategy and leads the company’s Leadership & Succession Planning and Executive Development Programs. She also provides leadership to BMO’s CHRO and HR Business Partner teams. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Collins held several senior leadership roles within BMO’s lines of business and the People, Culture & Brand team, including serving as CHRO for Canada’s Personal and Commercial Banking businesses; CHRO for Wealth & Asset Management and BMO’s Corporate Areas; and Regional Vice-President, Personal Banking, Greater Toronto Area. Through her proven ability to drive enterprise strategies and individualized plans that empower leaders, strengthen culture, and build high performing teams, she has made a lasting impact on the bank’s success. Ms. Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Victoria, an MBA from the University of Calgary and is Hogan Assessment certified.
