Wendy Gross is Chair of the Technology Group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt. Ms. Gross specializes in complex corporate and commercial transactions relating to technology products and services and business processes, including in core business functions such as technology and operations, enterprise risk management, payment systems, credit card and loyalty programs, data analytics, cloud arrangements, procurement, logistics and supply chain management. She is at the forefront of Canada’s regulatory environment as it applies to new and emerging developments in technology and advises clients in connection with regulatory compliance matters in the context of technology transactions, including regulatory requirements relating to AI, financial services, payment systems and networks, cloud computing, privacy compliance, the management and security of data, digital ledger technologies, governance frameworks and intellectual property. She also offers guidance on third-party risk management, business continuity, information security and incident management. Ms. Gross has extensive experience working as a strategic advisor to some of Canada’s most well-known companies in the financial services, retail and e-commerce, AI, transportation, government, and energy sectors, and is widely recognized as a leader in her field,, including a Band 1 recognition for information technology law in Chambers Global. Ms. Gross earned an Honors B. Sc. in Computer Science with a specialist in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toronto and completed her JD at the University of Toronto Law School.
