Academic Leadership Excellence Award

This award is given to an exceptional alum currently working in academia who demonstrates outstanding achievements in their field. This honor recognizes an individual who exhibits remarkable research excellence, serves as an inspiring mentor or science communicator, and proves to be a supportive and inclusive leader. Additionally, the recipient makes a meaningful impact within their specific area of research or beyond. This award celebrates the recipient’s dedication to both the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of the academic community as a whole.

Winners Announcement

Academic Leadership Excellence Award - given to an alum currently working in academia who:

Has shown research excellence
Is an excellent mentor or science communicator
Is a supportive and inclusive leader
Has made an impact within their research area or beyond

Award package includes:

Inaugural Award winner title
Support a 2-week visit to Perimeter Institute for research collaboration
Opportunity to provide a talk/colloquium/public lecture in 2028 and present the Academic Leadership Excellence Award to new winner
