Currently I am interested in strongly correlated electron systems bearing intrinsic topological order, with or without a global symmetry. In particular, I am studying both discrete and continuous formulation of these (symmetry enriched) topological phases of matter, their classifications, and in the long run, their implications in fundamental physics, such as quantum gravity.

My past research areas include quantum computation (control) and quantum information, quantum gravity, and fiber optics.
