Michelle Osry is a partner with Deloitte, one of Canada's leading professional services firms where she leads Deloitte’s Family Enterprise Consulting practice in Canada, advising business families on succession planning and family enterprise governance. She also leads the Deloitte Private practice in British Columbia.
Ms. Osry is a key contributor to Deloitte’s national innovation council, and is an advocate for the use of design thinking to develop new and disruptive offerings and business models for her clients.
Her passion for surfacing new opportunities and possibilities extends from her work with business families and corporations to her support of non-profit initiatives. She is an advisory board member of the THNK School of Creative Leadership in Vancouver and imagine1day, a “global movement that inspires people to use their imagination to make a difference in the world."
Ms. Osry has 20 years of experience in North America, Europe and South Africa. Before Deloitte, she steered the brand and talent strategies at Resources Global Professionals, a global consulting firm headquartered in California. In her banking career, she was a member of the executive team and co-led the global structured products group of Maple Financial Group, a private Canadian investment bank. Her career began with Deloitte in South Africa, where she was also a member of the Commerce Faculty at the University of Cape Town.
Ms. Osry holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree from the University of Natal, and both a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Financial Management and a Post-graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and a UK Certified Securities Dealer.
