I'm a condensed matter theorist interested in quantum many-body physics at large, notably in the 'strongly-correlated' regime. My two main subjects of study are quantum criticality (including conformal field theory) and the interplay between topology and symmetry, especially symmetry protected topological order. In the latter case, this connects to quantum materials involving strong spin-orbit coupling and interactions.
I use various tools including quantum field theory, numerical variational methods, and the AdS/CFT holographic correspondence. I also collaborate extensively with numerical experts that specialize in Quantum Monte Carlo and (cluster) Dynamical Mean Field Theory.
