GoPhysics! Workshops

Ready to learn more about the amazing world of physics?  Perimeter Institute’s GoPhysics! Workshops gives curious high school students the opportunity to use their high school physics to dive into modern physics topics.

GoPhysics! offers two workshops options:

Workshop Description Requirement
Gravity & Black Holes During the workshop, we’ll tackle some big questions: What is gravity? How do Newton and Einstein's models of gravity differ? How do black holes, some of the most mysterious objects in our universe, fit into this discussion? Join other students to explore exciting physics topics through group activities and discussions. Completion of or currently enrolled in Grade 11 Physics.
Exoplanets & the Universe

Are you curious about planets, stars, and galaxies? If so, then GoPhysics! is for you! We’ll explore some big questions about space and even the entire universe.

Topics include:

o Planets beyond the solar system – are they suitable for sustaining life?
o Big Bang and the expanding universe
o How scientists think and solve problems

Open to all Grade 9 and 10 students and does not assume any prior knowledge.
