Exoplanets and the Universe
Are you curious about planets, stars, and galaxies? If so, then GoPhysics! is for you! GoPhysics! Exoplanets and the Universe is a full-day student workshop (9:30am - 3:30pm) offered by Perimeter Institute. We’ll explore some big questions about space and even the entire universe.
Topics include:
o Planets beyond the solar system – are they suitable for sustaining life?
o Big Bang and the expanding universe
o How scientists think and solve problems
You’ll get to do hands-on activities, tackle new challenges, chat with a physicist, and meet
new friends. This event is open to all students in Grades 9 and 10 and does not assume any prior knowledge.
The workshop is free but students must register . Registrations will be accepted in the order they are received until the workshop is full. Once registration is full a waiting list will be created.

Transportation
Students must find their own transportation to and from the program.
Meals
Students will be given a 1 hour lunch break. A pizza lunch will be provided, including a vegetarian option. A morning snack break will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks if they prefer. We ask that they are nut free.

- GoPhysics! is a collaborative, not competitive, experience. There are no tests, exams, or formal presentations.
