For seven days in October 2013, the BrainSTEM Festival connected remarkable technological innovations to the scientific breakthroughs that make them possible. The festival featured highly interactive science-centre style exhibits, special presentations, public lectures, Science in the Club events, and self-guided building tours.
Neil Turok, Director of Perimeter Institute, delivered the 2012 CBC Massey Lectures in Fall of 2012. Turok's lectures, The Universe Within: From Quantum to Cosmos, share a visionary look at how the human mind can shape the future through science and education. The lectures can be enjoyed through iTunes, or purchased as a book from House of Anansi Press.
With the 2011 opening of Perimeter’s expanded facilities, named after the inspiring physicist, Perimeter held three days of tours, exhibits, public lectures, and other events.
From June 5 to 9, 2011, Perimeter hosted the Waterloo Global Science Initiative, an ambitious undertaking to reboot the global conversation on energy and explore how cutting edge science and technology may advance an electrified and sustainable future.
