Good uses of Time and Money…

  1. Channel all money for soldiers or a private army through Selena since she has a keep and training grounds for them. Purchase temporary housing to increase the maximum number of allowable soldiers.
  2. Channel all extra cash through Orla for maximum revenue. Have her trade caravans guarded by yourself or good hired NPCs so you don’t loose your investment to Kobolds or other Raiders. If you are using just NPCs to guard the goods, send more than just minions.
  3. Channel all money for magical item purchases through Altair. He can decide how much to charge you for the item but it costs him just the list price in the players handbook to create any magical item up to his level.
  4. All PCs should use some of their time to train soldiers at Selena’s fortress.
  5. Before the end of the fourth month, channel some money into buying siege weapons to protect your people from large monsters. You might also want to buy the upgrade package for your Human Rabbles to make them slightly more effective minions.

This is good option for Selena and Orla. For Selena, a bigger keep means more room for soldiers and eventually more settlers to draw taxes from. A 1000sq foot shop includes all start up costs. This shop will have one clerk and it will immediately start generating an income of 10GP a month for the owner.  Aside from an unattended income source, the shop will also improve sales of transported goods. Selena adds 4 to her maximum number of solders per addition. She currently houses up to 10 Soldiers. Orla can establish shops in Fallcrest, Winterhaven, and Hammerfast to establish a trade network.

The Light and Medium Cannons can be transported by one horse and the Heavy Cannon requires 3 horses.

The device is a 25’ tall war-machine propelled on two feet by the labour of 4 workers. This war-machine is armed with a huge catapult and is capable of trampling small targets and kicking or ramming medium and larger targets. He proposes to make the machine out of wood from the nearby forest and claims that the weapon will take reduced amounts of damage from most attacks.
