Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships
The current global pandemic is likely to affect the academic and research communities for some time to come. It has already led to a noticeable decline in the availability of faculty positions, and this could continue for some period. In response to this situation, the Simons Foundation has generously created the Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships.
These fellowships are intended for senior postdocs whose normal progression to a faculty or senior research position is likely to be hindered by the pandemic.
There will be four Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships available to begin in the fall of 2021 at Perimeter Institute with one fellowship in each of the following research areas: Quantum Fields & Strings, Cosmology, Particle Physics, and Quantum Matter. These positions have a duration of two years (with a possible extension to a third year).
The following information will be required to complete the application:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Publications List
- Research Statement
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusive (EDI) Statement describing your experience and plans for creating/advancing a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion within your discipline
- Contact information for 3 referees
Applications are due November 9, 2020, however, applications submitted after this date will be considered until all positions are filled.
Perimeter Institute is committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from racialized persons/persons of colour, women, Indigenous/Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2 persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas.
Applicants who require special accommodation in order to complete their application/interview are encouraged to contact [email protected] for assistance.
