Academic Programs Assistant

Perimeter is currently seeking a dynamic, creative professional to join our Academic Programs team.  Supported by the Director and Coordinator, the Academic Programs Assistant plays a critical role in the planning, organizing and execution of Perimeter’s world class academic programs and initiatives. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with the recruitment campaign for Perimeter Scholars International (PSI) students from around the world
  • Coordinating and strategically marketing PI graduate and mini courses
  • Collection and integrity of all statistical data for academic program reporting
  • Working with PI faculty to champion and support all aspects of the postdoctoral mentoring program
  • Coordinating the PI Visiting Graduate Fellow and Summer Undergraduate Programs
  • Maintaining the PSI website in real time
  • Supporting the Academic Programs Director with administrative duties as required
  • Other duties and special projects as directed

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education, degree or diploma in a complementary field is appreciated
  • Administrative experience is required, preferably in an academic or professional environment
  • Highly client focused nature and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Suite of programs, database experience considered ideal
  • Flexible and ready to adapt in an ever changing environment
