Exact operator algebras in superconformal field theories

COVID-19 information for PI Residents and Visitors

Conference Date:
Wednesday, December 14, 2016 (All day) to Friday, December 16, 2016 (All day)
Scientific Areas:
Mathematical Physics

This focused workshop is aimed at the emerging connections between vertex operator algebras and deformation quantization on the one hand and superconformal field theories in three and four dimensions on the other. See, e.g.,

This is an area where we feel there is room for fruitful interaction between experts in different sub-disciplines. For example, one naturally encounters problems and insights connected with the representation theory of irrational VOAs, the theory of modular differential equations and vector-valued modular forms, and the quantization of symplectic singularities. The event will be lightly scheduled with a few talks a day and plentiful time for interaction and discussion. The workshop is part of the activities of the new Simons Collaboration on the Nonperturbative Bootstrap:
