My field of research lies in String Theory and Quantum Field Theory. Currently my main interests are in general to understand the mathematical structures and properties of scattering amplitudes in various theories.
Very recently I have been working with F. Cachazo and S. He on the mathematical formulation of amplitudes based on a punctured Riemann sphere underlying the tree-level scattering processes. In particular, we discovered a set of equations (which we call scattering equations) that relate the puncture locations and the scattering data, valid in any dimensions. This has the potential to unify amplitudes in different theories easily into a single framework (as we have done in pure Yang-Mills and gravity) and provides an alternative context in studying interesting relations between these theories, such as Kawai-Llewellyn-Tye and Bern-Carrasco-Johansson.
