The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) is one of eleven constituents of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the largest performing arts complex in the world. The society presents chamber music of every instrumentation, style, and historical period in its extensive concert season in New York and its national and international tours.
For Perimeter, David Finkel (co-director of CMS and a good friend of the Institute) has recommended the “Fauré and Brahms” programme. The remarkable young pianist, Alessio Bax, praised by Gramophone for the “hypnotic intensity” of his playing, is joined in this not-to-be missed program by esteemed violinist Ani Kafavian, the brilliant Yura Lee on viola, and the incomparable artistry of Paul Watkins on cello. We are so excited to welcome this talented group to Perimeter.

Acclaimed world violinist Christian Tetzlaff is back by popular demand! His solo performance several years ago completely entranced our audience and left us wanting more. Knowing how busy his schedule is, Perimeter jumped at the opportunity to book him again, this time with his long-time collaborator pianist, Lars Vogt.
An artist known for his musical integrity, technical assurance, and intelligent, compelling interpretations, Tetzlaff is internationally recognized as one of the most important violinists of his generation.
This concert will be a night to remember. Join us.

After being named “Newcomer of the Year” in 2008 by BBC Music Magazine, French pianist David Fray has embarked on an active career as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician worldwide. Described as “perhaps the most inspired, certainly the most original Bach player of his generation,” with his natural elegance and exquisite musicality, Fray’s performance and skill must be experienced. Please join us for this exciting evening.
