The one-year renewable agreement with Perimeter aims to stimulate progress in research areas of common interest and to build academic ties between the institutes. The agreement will encourage scientific exchange visits by faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students, as well as joint organization of workshops and schools.
The new agreement is in line with Perimeter's strategic priority of acting as a hub of theoretical physics research both nationally and internationally. This partnership follows similar agreements with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology (CTC) at Cambridge University, and other basic research centres across the globe.
